Microsoft to launch its largest data centre in Hyderabad with Rs 15,000 crore budget

Microsoft is one of the largest technology companies in the world, and it has spread its wings in all the major countries. Now, the latest update is that Microsoft is looking forward to establishing its biggest fourth data center in Hyderabad with a budget of Rs. 15,000 crore in the next 15 years. The company has already established its data centers in Pune, Chennai, and Mumbai. Now, it is coming to Hyderabad.

The company officials said that investment is planned with its commitment to support customers get into better services with cloud and AI-enabled economy and to be part of the world’s largest cloud infrastructure.

Speaking in this regard, Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao told reporters at the launch event that it will be one of the largest FDIs in the state of Telangana. 

Many have adopted the technology of could a platform for digital transformation all over the country. According to IDC, Microsoft data center regions in India got $9.5 billion in revenue to the economy from 2016 to 2020. Beyond the GDP impact, 1.50,00 jobs have been added to the economy, said IDC.

It is expected to start its operations by 2025. Operations include cloud, data solutions, artificial intelligence, and CRM with data security services for all big and not-so-big companies including government offices.  

Microsoft India president Anant Maheshwari said that within two years, the company has doubled its data center’s capacity in India.
