Additional revenue of Rs 18617 crores has been earned in this year in the commercial taxes department and Rs 2376 crores in the registration department. This was revealed by the minister Mr. B. Murthy. This revenue earned was high when compared to the amount earned till July in 2021.
In the press statement released by Mr. Murthy it was mentioned that last July the tax revenue earned by the TN Commercial Taxes department was Rs 9557 crores. Point is that this amount is Rs 2880 more than Rs 6677 crores that was earned in July in the financial year 2021-22.
It must be noted that in the 4 months ending on 31st July 2022 of the current financial year 2022-23, the commercial taxes dept has earned revenue of Rs 47056 crores. This is Rs 18617 crores more than the revenue of Rs 23439 crores that was earned in the same period of the last financial year 2021-22. This corresponds to a growth of 65.45percent.
In the study meetings conducted in every region, it has been advised that the tax evasion must be prevented and the tax revenue due to the government must be collected without fail. The department officers did a great job and played their part to achieve this record revenue now.
Last July, the revenue of the registration dept was Rs 1342.01 crores and this is Rs 9979 crores more than the Rs 1242.22 crores that was collected in July 2021.It is learnt that in the current financial year 2022-23 till July the registration dept has earned revenue of Rs 5718.9 crores.
This amount is Rs 2376.03 crores more than the Rs 3342.87 crores that was earned in the same period in the last financial year. Information is that the growth rate in the registration sector has increased by 71.01%.
