Many devotees go to Tirupati to get the darshan of Lord Balaji is well known to us. It has been announced that it would be possible to travel from Chennai to Tirupati in trains without prior booking of seats. It must be recalled that before the Coronavirus infection pandemic began train services without pre- booking were present.
This train service would now start from morning 9:50 am from Chennai Central station to Tirupati. Earlier, this train service was there up to Arakkonam and now it has been extended till Tirupati. This was as per the order from the Chennai Division of the Southern Railways,
Every day, the train service to Tirupati would begin from 9:50am from Chennai Central and it would reach Tirupati at 1:40pm in the afternoon. The train would then begin from Tirupati at 1:45 pm and reach Chennai Central at 5:15 pm in the evening.
The train from Chennai Central would stop and pass through several stations like Basin Bridge, Perambur, Villivakkam, Ambattur, Avadi, Thiruninravur, Thiruvallur, Kadambathur, Thiruvallankadu, Arakkonam, Tiruttani etc.
It was mentioned by Mr. S. Muggaiyan, general secretary, Tiruninravur Train Passengers Association that for the last two years the train service between Chennai Central and Tirupati has been stopped due to Coronavirus pandemic. He added that the train service would resume once again as per the requirements of the public.
It is believed that this train service would be highly beneficial for those devotees travelling to Tirupati as it stops in several stations. Truth is that it would be possible to travel from Tiruninravur to Tirupati with Rs 60 in the train and it would cost Rs 150 per ticket in the buses.
Mr. S. Muruggaiyan expressed his happiness and thanked the Chennai Division of the Southern Railways for helping many devotees to go to Tirupati easily.
