Prospects for rain for the next 5 days in Tamil Nadu!! Have you completed Deepavali shopping?

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed us that there are prospects for very heavy rain in Tamil Nadu for the next 5 days!

In a notification released by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre in this regard, it is mentioned:

"Due to the cyclonic format prevailing in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the State of Tamil Nadu, there are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.

There are prospects for very heavy rains in some districts from today (Monday, 17th October) until 21st October.

17th October: There are prospects for heavy rains in 1 or 2 places in the districts of Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Theni, Dindigul, Madurai, Sivagangai, Pudhukkottai, Karur, Namakkal, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Thirupathur, Trichy, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, and Nagappattinam.

Further, there are prospects for a new low-pressure zone forming over Tamil Nadu!

As regards Chennai Metro City, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy in the next 48 hours. There are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in a few parts of the city.

The maximum temperature may be 33 Degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature might be 26 Degrees Celsius.

As regards the maximum rainfall recorded in cm over the last 24 hours, Kudithangi, Valparaiso 13 each, Namakkal – 11, Mayiladi, Yethapur, Mohanur, Palakkodu – 9 each.

For fishermen:

High-speed winds at 40-50 kmph and intermittently at 60 kmph are likely to blow across the Lakhdiv areas, Maldives areas, and the adjacent Kanyakumari Ocean, and Southeast Bay of Bengal, THE FISHERMEN IN THESE AEAS ARE WARNED NOT TO VENTURE INTO THE SEA!"
