POLICE AKKA - Know about this sensational project launched now by the TN police department?

Many crimes take place against the girl students these days is a well known fact. Despite several steps being taken by the police department to prevent these crimes against the girl students, the crimes keep on happening in every nook and corners.
Police Akka project was launched in Coimbatore by the police department on Tuesday, 18th October 2022. Point is that 37 women police personnel have been trained to take up the role of police akka in 60 colleges. This was pointed out by Mr. Balakrishnan City Police Commissioner.
What is the work of police akka:
The police akka would go to several colleges designated for them and they would interact with the girl students to develop a strong bonding. This strong bonding would help the police akka to solve the crime cases.
For the girl students to reach out for the police akka, mobile numbers of the cops would be displayed in prominent spots inside the college premises. The police commissioner then spoke about how the police akka would visit the colleges once a week or in 15 days and would spend stipulated hours at a designated place in the college campus. The girl students could reach the police cops and discuss their issues openly.
Various works that would be done by the police akka are providing psychological counselling to the students plus prevent sexual offenses and control drugs sales in the colleges etc.
It is true that girl students are becoming victims of cyber crimes and these students do not know whom to approach and open up their problems etc.
