Running at a speed of 75kmph, the Vande Bharat Express train is expected to reach Mysore from Chennai in 6 hours and 40 minutes.
It must not be forgotten that in 2019 the Indian Railways grabbed many eyeballs when it launched made in India high speed trains called Vande Bharat trains. The specialty of this train is that the engine would not be alone but it would be attached to the train.
Various facilities that are present in Vande Bharat trains are automatic doors, air conditioning, WiFi, GPS, audio, video information facilities, bio-toilets etc. It is noteworthy that the coaches are being manufactured at ICF in Chennai.
Information collected is that the first service is running between Varanasi and Delhi, the second service is running between Delhi- Kashmir Vaishnavi Devi Temple route, and the third service is running between Mumbai and Gandhi Nager route. Truth is that the fourth service is running between Himachal Pradesh based Amb Andaura etc. The fifth service would be launched on the route Chennai to Mysore It is now expected that this service would begin from 10th November 2022.
It has been brought out by the time schedule data of Vande Bharat train that when compared to Shatabdi train the Vande Bharat train would reach Mysore 20 minutes before.
The Shatabdi express would take 7 hours and 15 minutes to reach Mysore from Chennai whereas the Vande Bharat train would take 6 hours and 40 minutes only. The sensational piece of information is that it would be possible to run Vande Bharat train at 180kmph speed also.
