How many of us are aware of the fact that lower back pain has become a common health issue now?
This problem is witnessed in both youngsters as well as the elder persons and has turned into a chronic illness in India. The extended work hours plus sedentary lifestyle has become a routine for many across the world. This has led to issues in the spinal discs and back muscles etc. We are now in a situation where we must take action before this issue causes long term problems in us. Various reasons for lower back pain in us are aging, improper lifting, smoking , psychological conditions etc. Not any of us know that kidney issues could also lead to lower back pain in us.

By maintaining good posture:
Back muscles, spine and neck muscles would get affected by sitting for long hours in a slouching position. Sometimes, we might lie down on our stomachs and lift our head to speak over the mobile phone and this too would lead to lower back pain. It is necessary to follow an upright posture in alignment with the neck and lower back, following correct desktop monitor or laptop levels could prevent us from spinal damage.
By taking short breaks:
Work related mental stress could be reduced by means of short frequent beaks. This would also lower the physical stress on the spine. Back pain would become worse by sitting continuously for a longer time. Hnce, we must take short breaks in between and do some exercises etc so that the muscles and nerves would get strengthened.
By doing exercise:
Our trunk, core and lumbar muscles would become weak by doing sedentary work. It is good to do exercises like partial crunches, bridge, hamstring stretches, knee to chest, cat stretch etc and these would restore the fluidity of the muscles, joints etc. Lower back pain would get reduced.
By following a healthy diet:
Back as well as spine issues would be avoided by not consuming fatty foods and by drinking lots of water. The weight of us would be kept in check if we consume low fat, calcium and protein rich foods with essential minerals etc. The overall pressure that would be put on the spine would be reduced well.
