ORANGE Alert for 8 districts, YELLOW ALERT FOR 7 DISTRICTS - ISSUED BY Weather Centre!

With cyclone Mandous having crossed the coast, the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has issued an `Orange Alert` to 8 districts!
This `Orange Alert` indicates the prospects for heavy to very heavy rains and has been issued to the 8 districts of Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Thirupathur, Vellore, Ranippettai, and Thiruvannamalai. Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur. There are prospects for heavy to very heavy rains in a few places in these districts!
Further, the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has issued a `Yellow Alert` (indicating prospects for heavy rains in a few places) to the 7 districts of Chennai, Nilgiri, Erode, Salem, Krishnagiri, Villupuram and Chengalpattu.
