Attention all property owners in Chennai! The Chennai Corporation has announced a 5 percent incentive for those who pay their property tax within the first 15 days of the half-year. The deadline for the current half-year is April 15th, so make sure to pay before then to receive the incentive.
According to a recent press release from the Chennai Corporation, property owners who make their payments on time will receive a 5 percent incentive, with a maximum limit of Rs. 5,000. This incentive has been successful in the past, as 1,99,589 people in April and 2,19,127 people in the last half-year received the benefit.
There are several convenient options available for payment, including government e-service centers, credit and debit cards, checks and drafts, and the Namma Chennai and Paytm apps. Additionally, tax collectors will be visiting homes to collect payments. Payments can also be made through the Chennai Corporation website.
