Due to a cyclonic formation prevailing over the lower layers of the atmosphere in South India, there are prospects of mild to moderate rain with lightning and thunder in a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.
There are prospects of heavy rains in 1 or 2 places in Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Theni, Dindigul, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Thirupathur, Salem, Kallakkurichi, and Thiruvannamalai.
It is informed that there are prospects of mild to moderate rain with lightning and thunder tomorrow (Sunday, 28th May) in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.
The maximum temperature today (Saturday, 27th May) will be 39-41 degrees Celsius in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu.
With the high temperature of the scorching summer and the high humidity, there are prospects of suffering from heat stress.
Regarding the Chennai Metro City and its suburbs, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy in the next 48 hours. There are prospects of mild rain in 1 or 2 places in the city.
The maximum temperature will be 39-40 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature will be 29 degrees Celsius.
