In the month of June, many places belonging to Tamil Nadu witnessed huge increases (more than 100 degrees) in the temperatures and the lives of the people were affected by the extreme heat.
The latest news is that the temperatures have crossed 100 degrees in 8 places belonging to Tamil Nadu. Point to be noted is that as per the maximum temperatures recorded till 5:30 pm in the evening yesterday 107 degrees fahrenheit was recorded in Madurai airport and 105 degrees in Madurai city.
High temperatures of 102 degrees were witnessed in Trichy and Nagapattinam. This was followed by 101 degrees in places like Karur, Puducherry etc. Places lie Karakal and Athiramapattinam recorded 100 degrees.
