The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has announced that there are prospects for heavy rains in 4 districts in Tamil Nadu until the 11th of September!
In a notification released in this regard by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, it is mentioned:
"As of yesterday (Thursday, 6th September), the maximum rainfall recorded in cm: Nilgiri District Devala – 7, Chinnakkallaru – 5, Solaiyaru, Pandhalur – 4, Edappadi, Musiri, Valparaiso – 3. In other places, a rainfall of 1-2 cm was recorded.
Due to the changing speeds of the wind blowing towards Tamil Nadu, there are prospects for medium rain in several districts in the State of Tamil Nadu. There are prospects for heavy rains in Coimbatore, Nilgiri, Theni and Dindigul districts until the 11th of September.
Chennai Metro City and its suburbs will remain somewhat cloudy. There are prospects for mild rain in a few places in the City. A maximum temperature of 35 Degrees Celsius will be recorded.
Warning to fishermen:
High-speed cyclonic winds are likely to blow across at 55 kmph across the North Bay of Bengal, Coastal Andhra, Central West and Central East today (Friday, 7th September). High-speed cyclonic winds will likely blow at 55 kmph across the Sri Lanka coastal areas, Central West and Central East parts on the 9th of September (Sunday).
As such, the fishermen are warned NOT to venture into the Sea!"
