Department of Hindu Religious Endowment: to organize a pilgrimage Rameswarm-Kasi for 300 citizens!

The Department of Hindu Religious Endowment has planned to organize a pilgrimage from Rameswaram to Kasi (Varanasi) for 33 citizens. They have announced that the last date for applying to participate in this special Rameswaram-Kasi pilgrimage is the 20th of November.
A notification released by the Department of Hindu Religious Endowment states:
"In the presentation made on the requirement of subsidies for the Department of Hindu Religious Endowment for the Financial Year 2022-23, it was announced that a pilgrimage would be organized for 200 citizens from the Lord Ramanatha Swami temple in Rameswaram to the Lord Viswanatha Swami temple in Kasi (Varanasi), and the related expenses of Rs. 50 lakhs would be borne by the State Government. Accordingly, the government took 200 citizens on the pilgrimage.
Subsequently, during the presentation of the requirement of subsidies for the Department of Hindu Religious Endowment for the Financial Year 2023-24, it was announced that 300 citizens would be taken on a pilgrimage from the Rameswaram temple of Lord Ramanatha Swami to the Kasi temple of Lord Viswanatha Swami, and the related expenses of Rs. 75 lakhs would be borne by the State Government of Tamil Nadu.
Therefore, 300 citizens will be selected from the applications received for this pilgrimage, with 15 citizens chosen from each of the 30 Joint Commissioner Zones of the Department of Hindu Religious Endowment.
The application form for this pilgrimage can be obtained by visiting the respective Zonal Joint Commissioner Offices. The application must be filled out completely and accompanied by the required documents. It must be submitted to the same relevant Zonal Joint Commissioner Office where the application was received before the 20th of November.
Applicants must be Hindus with a belief in God and must fall within the age group of 60-70.
Eligible candidates will be selected for this pilgrimage.
