1. Atmospheric Conditions: An atmospheric lower circulation over South Indian regions and an atmospheric upper circulation along the Kerala coast in the southeastern Arabian Sea have created favorable conditions.
2. Rainfall Outlook: From today (Nov. 7) until the 10th, most parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal can expect light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning. On the 11th and 12th, isolated areas may experience similar conditions.
3. Heavy Rain Zones: Heavy rainfall is likely in hilly areas of Coimbatore district, Nilgiris, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tirupattur, Salem, Namakkal, Tirupur, Karur, Theni, Dindigul, Madurai, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, and Kanyakumari districts.
4. Tomorrow`s Forecast: On November 8, heavy rain is anticipated in Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Pudukottai, Theni, Dindigul, Tenkasi, Madurai districts, hilly areas of Coimbatore district, and Puducherry and Karaikal.
5. Chennai Weather: Chennai and its suburbs are expected to be partly cloudy for the next two days, with occasional light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in certain areas.
6. Previous Rainfall: On November 6, in the 24-hour period ending at 8.30 am, the highest recorded rainfall was 12 cm in Tenkasi.
