Addition of more beds for the patients - Apollo Hospitals to expand!!

Many patients these days go to Apollo hospitals for their treatment as they get top class facilities there. Now, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd would be adding 2300 beds for the patients in both metros and in major cities across India by investing Rs 3435 crores.

It is learnt that the leading healthcare chain would be looking at operations and management agreements overseas in countries like Indonesia and Tanzania etc.

The investments would be over 3 years between FY 2025 to FY 2027 and this was pointed out by Apollo Hospitals group CFO, Mr. Krishnan Akileswaran. He spoke about how acquisition of existing assets was completed and how in Pune and in Kolkata next year commissioning would take place. He threw light about the opening of a new hospital at Hyderabad and expansion in Bengaluru. Information gathered is that for the next 3 years 700 to 800 beds would be added each year.

It is worthy to note that the Apollo Hospitals have entered into an agreement with Pune based Royal Mudhol Hospital and Research Centre. As per the agreement, the hospital would be fully equipped, managed and operated by Apollo. By FY 25, the 250 bed hospital would be commissioned and it would be expanded into 425 beds in 2 years. The total estimated cost would be Rs 675 cr.

The CFO of Apollo Hospitals group concluded that about 80% of the investment would be through internal accruals and the rest 20% would be raised from banks. It must be noted that the Apollo hospitals would be entering Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
