Karthigai deepam festival is fast approaching now!!
In this scenario, a procession was carried out at the famous Sri Arunachaleswarar temple in Thiruvannamalai. The temple gopuram and the premises have been decorated with lights now for the karthigai deepam festival.
It must be taken into account that the 10 day festival would begin from Friday with flag hoisting. On the top of silver vahana, lord Arunachaleeswawar would be carried in a procession. Information is that the deity would be carried on different processions on each day of the ten days.
On 23rd of November, that is 7th day, a chariot festival would take place here and then on 26th of November karthigai deepam would be held. Three day elai naval deivam procession has been going on in Thiruvannamalai temple. It is noteworthy that on Wednesday or second day of the rituals, Goddess Pidari Amman blessed the devotees in simmha utsavam.
