The low atmospheric circulation near Sri Lanka would lead to continuous heavy rains in the state of TN from tomorrow onwards. This was according to the meteorological centre in Chennai.
The director of the Chennai meteorological centre Mr. P. Senthamaraikannan has issued a press release. According to the press release, due to the low atmospheric circulation prevailing in the SW Bay of Bengal and Sri Lanka there would be light to moderate rains with lightning and thunder in the state of TN and Puducherry today and at some places on 21st and most places on 19th and 20th of November. On 22nd and on 23rd there would be light to moderate rains in some places in TN.
Tomorrow, there would be heavy rains in several districts like Thiruvarur, Nagai, Mayiladuthurai, Thanjavur, Cuddalore, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Nellai, Kanniyakumari and Karaikal etc. Information is that on the 20 th of November, at one or two places, there would be heavy rains in the above said places and Tenkasi, Theni and Virudhunagar districts etc.
For the next 2 days, the sky would be partly cloudy in Chennai and in some places there would be moderate rains with lightning and thunder. The maximum temp is likely to be 31 degrees Celsius and the min 25 degrees Celsius.
