Due to the ongoing heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, school holidays are being declared by respective District Collectors. The decision to grant holidays is based on the amount of rainfall in specific districts.
District Collectors have officially announced that schools in the southern districts of Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thenkasi, Thoothukudi, and schools and colleges in Theni district will be given holidays. Additionally, holidays have been declared for schools in Nilgiri, Pudukottai, and Virudhunagar districts.

Notably, schools in Chennai, Thiruvallur, Chengalpattu, and Kanchipuram districts will continue to operate as usual, as per the announcements made by the respective District Collectors.
