A sudden scare for the devotees yesterday during the car procession at the Thiruvannamalai temple!!

During the procession of the sacred car of the famous Arunachaleeswarar temple at Tiruvannamalai, atleast 50 devotees suffered an electric shock. The reason for the sudden shock was due to a short circuit at a shop on the girivalam route. It is known that Karthigai Deepam festival would be celebrated here in a grand manner on Sunday.
Truth is that thousands of devotees took part in the procession and hundreds of devotees were involved in pulling the sacred car yesterday. The police personnel took action immediately by cutting the power supply. Those who were injured were admitted to the general hospital in Thiruvannamalai.
