From Tuesday 26th December, a 3 day winter camp would be organised on pilot basis and in the camps the students belonging to classes 6 to 9 classes would learn robotics, coding, theatre etc.
The places where the winter camps would be held would be Chennai, Coimbatore, Thanjavur and Ramanathapuram etc. It is revealed that the students attending the winter camps in Chennai and Kovai etc would learn coding without computers. Output of a code from mobile apps would be demonstrated by the students using physical blocks.
The students would get hands-on experience about bots and devices etc in Ramanathapuram district. It is superb to note here that the students who attend the camps would be given robotic kits etc.
According to an official belonging to SSA or Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, the camps would focus on equipping students with diverse skill sets. Increasing their curiosity and unleashing their full potential in a fun environment.
The student activities would take place from 9:30pm to 5:30pm and the winter caps would be conducted in a residential mode. Based on their interests, students have been shortlisted. Summer camps would be organised on a larger scale based on the feedback from the students and teachers etc.
