Extended Christmas weekend brings record crowds in Vandalur zoo in Chennai!!

For so many years, the Vandalur zoo or Arignar Anna Zoological Park in south Chennai has been attracting many visitors. The sensational news now is that over the extended Christmas weekend (from 23rd to 25th December) over 33000 visitors made their presence felt at this zoo. On Saturday alone, more than 6000 visitors went to this zoo. On the next day, that is Sunday, 13700 visitors went to the zoo and on the Christmas day on Monday, 14000 visitors went to Vandalur zoo.
It must not be forgotten that in 2022 as many as 26500 went to Vandalur zoo in the same period for 2 days. Few months back, the price of adult tickets was increased from Rs 115 to Rs 200.
It is superb to note that in this year for the Christmas festival season there were no missing kids or thefts etc. This was revealed by Mr. Manikanda Prabhu, assistant director of Vandalur zoo.
