Prospects for heavy rains for 2 days on the 30th and 31st of December in 4 districts including Thoothukkudi!

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has issued a notification indicating the likelihood of heavy rains in four districts of the State of Tamil Nadu, including Thoothukkudi, on the 30th and 31st of December 2023.
The notification, released by the Director of the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, Pa. Senthamaraikkannan, provides detailed information:
"Due to the prevailing phenomenon of changing wind speeds in the easterly direction, there is a possibility of mild to medium rain in a few places in the coastal districts today (Thursday, 28th December) and in one or two places in the interior districts.
Mild to medium rain is expected on the 29th and 30th of December in a few places in Southern Tamil Nadu and one or two places in Northern Tamil Nadu.
From the 31st of December until the 2nd of January, there is a chance of mild to medium rain in a few places across the State of Tamil Nadu.
Significantly, there is a forecast for heavy rain on the 30th and 31st of December in Kanyakumari, Thirunelveli, Thoothukkudi, and Ramanathapuram districts.
Chennai Metro City and its suburbs will experience partly cloudy weather today (Thursday, 28th December), with the possibility of mild rain in a few parts of Chennai Metro City."
