Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority allocates funds for the Kilambakkam Bus Terminus Project!

The new Mofussil Bus Terminus at Kilambakkam was recently inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin. Consequently, a decision has been made to establish a new railway station near this bus terminus for public convenience.
This railway station will be constructed using funds from the Tamil Nadu State Government, which has allocated Rs. 20 Crores in the first phase for this project. The Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) has also allocated funds for the Kilambakkam Railway Station construction project as it is a requirement of the State of Tamil Nadu.
Tenders for this project will be floated this week with a target to complete the project within a year. It is understood that the CMDA will allocate further funds for the project based on the expenditures incurred.
