Temporary Disruption of Sewerage Services in Adyar and Thenampettai Zones Tomorrow Due to Maintenance Work

Sewerage services in Adyar and Teynampet zones will be disrupted tomorrow due to ongoing sewerage pipeline connection work. The Chennai Drinking Water Board issued a press release, stating that the sewage pumping station near Adyar LP Road (Dr. Muthulakshmi Road) is undergoing connection works. As a result, the LP Road Sewage Pumping Station will be non-operational from 10 AM on January 9th to 6 AM on the 10th.
The press release notes that this may cause overflow at the mechanical inlet gates in some locations within Adyar and Teynampet zones. In case of emergencies, sewage can be pumped out using sewage suction machines.
