It has been raining on and off in the state of Tamil Nadu. The public are finding it difficult due to the rains. In this scenario, RMC or Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai has informed that on 15th January there are possibilities that NE monsoon would leave south India and the state of TN.
It was mentioned in a press release from Mr. P. Senthamaraikannan, director, RMC, Chennai that there is now a downward air circulation along the coastal areas in Kerala. In the same manner, in the eastern parts of the equatorial Indian Ocean plus along the south parts of Sri Lanka there is now a downward air circulation. On 12th of January 2024, light to moderate rains might occur in one or two places in TN and in Puducherry etc.
From 13th to 17th January, TN & Puducherry might experience dry weather. It is worth mentioning that the NE monsoon is likely to leave India on 15th January 2024.
Today, Chennai and its suburbs would have partly cloudy sky and the maximum temperature would be 31 degree Celsius and minimum would be 23 degrees Celsius.
