In a bid to connect the thriving automobile manufacturing hub of Chennai, the bustling tech and start-up center of Bengaluru, and the cultural capital of Karnataka, Mysuru, an ambitious high-speed rail (HSR) project spanning 435 kilometers is in the works.

The Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru corridor is recognized as a high-density zone, hosting a multitude of companies, tech parks, manufacturing units, and townships along its expanse. The envisaged HSR project aims not only to foster enhanced connectivity within this dynamic region but also to significantly reduce travel time between Mysuru and the capitals of the Southern states.

The proposed alignment outlines nine strategic stations along the Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru HSR route: Chennai, Poonamallee, Arakkonam (Tamil Nadu), Chittoor (Andhra Pradesh), Bangarapet (Karnataka), Bengaluru, Channapatna, Mandya, and Mysuru. This comprehensive network is poised to redefine travel and connectivity across this vital economic and cultural corridor.
