Sensational!! First jallikattu activity at the newly built stadium near Alanganallur in TN on 24th January!!

The date 24/1/2024 would ever be etched in the memory of many Tamilians and bull taming sport fans across the world!!
On 24th January 2024, the newly constructed jallikattu stadium at Keelakarai village near Alanganallur in south TN would witness its first bull taming or jallikattu activity. On this day, the chief minister of TN Mr. MK. Stalin would inaugurate this new stadium. The stadium would be called as Kalaignar Centenary Eruthazhuvuthal Arena.
Now, arrangements are being made to organise jallikattu or the traditional sport of valor here on24th January. It is now said that the jallikattu enthusiasts or fans are eagerly waiting for this historical day as TN would get an exclusive venue for jallikattu.
An online registration facility has been introduced for the bull owners and bull tamers to take part in this important inaugural contest. From noon on 19th January till the noon of 20th January 2024, the registrations would be open. It must be noted that the interested persons can login to the website madurai.nic.in and can register their names, age and submit their fitness certificates etc.
Point to be noted is that apart from the bull owner one more person who is very accustomed to the bull would be allowed. The Collector Sangeetha spoke about how after scrutinising the applications, eligibility criteria etc tokens would be issued. Persons with tokens would only be allowed to take part in the sport.
