Prototype of Vande Metro train from ICF - Whats happening now regarding this?

On Friday, 26th January 2024, ICF GM Mr. B.G. Mallya revealed that ICF would develop a prototype of Vande Metro and Vande Bharat express rake for Jammu and Kashmir in the coming months. Established in the year 1955, ICF in Chennai is the largest rail coach producer across the world is well known to us.
Mr. Mallya later spoke about how in this current production year ICF has got 2 important projects. He assured that by March 2024 ICF would roll out the first prototype of Vande Metro project which is a fully air-conditioned train for inter-city services. This would be the first project and the second one would be Vande Bharat express rake for Jammu and Kashmir with some modifications to suit the climatic conditions. Despite several challenges regarding the supply front, ICF has produced 50 VB rakes. It is noteworthy that in association with Carriage 7 Loco Works Amrit- Bharat push-pull train was turned out in October 2023. The travel experience would be much better for the passengers.
To ensure a smooth, safe and comfortable travel for all the passengers, ICF has been making many improvements.
