Great news for Chennaites!! Flower exhibition in Semmozhi Poonga in Chennai from 10th Feb!!

An amazing piece of news for the flower lovers in Chennai!!
From 10th February for one week, a flower exhibition would be held in the popular Semmozhi Poonga in Chennai. People visiting this park would be able to come across rare flowers. It must be taken into account that flower exhibitions are held in the hilly Ooty, Kodaikanal and Yercaud etc in the summer seasons. It is now said that this upcoming flower exhibition would be held by the Dept of Horticulture to satisfy the longing of the Chennai residents to have a flower exhibition in Chennai.
It must be recalled that in 2010 CM of Tamil Nadu Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi inaugurated Semmozhi Poonga near Anna flyover in Anna Salai. In this Semmozhi Park, there are more than 500 species of plants, trees etc.
For the last 2 years, the Horticultural dept has been organising a flower exhibition at Semmozhi Poonga . Last year in the June month flower exhibition was held here.
