For the safety of women in the metro trains, CMRL employs Pink Squad now!!

About 20 to 25 women who are trained in martial arts have been recruited by CMRL or Chennai metro Rail limited now. This was done to improve the safety of the women passengers in the metro trains. It is learnt that the pink squad that would be launched today would address the grievances of women commuters.
As per an official from CMRL, there were some women who have obtained brown belt in martial arts and these women would be briefed on ways to improve the security of women passengers. He added that the martial arts trained women would be moving about each train and station round the clock.
