Today, Friday, March 8th, being the holy Maha Sivarathri Day and with the weekend ahead on Saturday and Sunday, the Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation has planned to operate additional special buses apart from the daily services.
In this regard, 270 additional special buses were operated yesterday, Thursday, March 7th, from the Chennai Metro City Kilambakkam Mofussil Bus Terminus to destinations including Thiruvannamalai, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Thirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, and Thirupur.
Today, Friday, March 8th, 390 additional buses will be operated from Chennai Kelambakkam Bus Terminus to the aforementioned places.
Tomorrow, Saturday, March 9th, 430 additional special buses are scheduled to be operated. Additionally, 70 special buses will be operated from the Chennai Metro City Koyambedu Mofussil Bus Terminus.
Furthermore, 200 special buses are scheduled to operate from Bengaluru, Thirupur, Erode, and Coimbatore.
On Sunday, March 10th, in order to facilitate the return trip to Chennai Metro City or Bengaluru after the weekend festival, special buses will be operated.
So far, 9096 passengers have booked tickets for yesterday`s trip, Thursday, March 7th. For today`s travel, Friday, March 8th, 7728 passengers have booked tickets. Additionally, 9011 passengers have booked tickets for the Sunday, March 10th trip.
