Chennai, in a bid to modernize city-wide surveillance, has unveiled Mobile Command and Control Centre (MCCC) vehicles equipped with advanced technology. Part of the ₹93.50 crore Mega City Policing project, the initiative integrates 3,090 AI-powered CCTV cameras at key locations, connected to the existing Integrated Command and Control Centre. The first phase includes four MCCC vehicles strategically positioned for real-time monitoring during public events and law enforcement situations. These rugged vehicles, equipped with drones and CCTV cameras, provide live video feeds to the central command, enhancing situational awareness.
