There are prospects for rain today (Thursday, 21st March) in the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu.
Details of the notification released by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre in this regard:
"The phenomenon of changing directions and speeds of winds is prevailing over the upper layers of the atmosphere above the South India region. Consequently, there are prospects for mild to medium rain today (Thursday, 21st March) in a few places in the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, as well as Karaikal. A dry climate may prevail in other areas.
Mild to medium rain is expected in a few places in South Tamil Nadu on the 22nd and 23rd of March. The maximum temperature may reach 102 degrees Fahrenheit, which is 5 degrees Fahrenheit higher than the normal temperature.
Chennai Metro City and its suburbs may experience partly cloudy conditions today (Thursday, 21st March), with a maximum temperature of 93 degrees Fahrenheit.
