On the occasion of Ramzan, 1265 special additional buses to be operated during the weekend!
Notification released by Director of Tamil Nadu Express Transport Corporation, R. Mohan:
"The Muslim festival of Ramzan falls tomorrow (Thursday, April 11th), followed by the weekend on Saturday and Sunday, April 13th & 14th.
Considering the anticipated increase in outstation travel during this period, arrangements have been made to operate special additional buses alongside the regular services by the Tamil Nadu State Express Transport Corporations.
A total of 945 special additional buses will operate from the Chennai Metro City Kilambakkam Bus Terminus to destinations including Thiruvannamalai, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Thirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, and Thirupur on April 10th, 12th, and 13th.
Additionally, 120 special additional buses will operate from the Chennai Metro City Koyambedu Mofussil Bus Terminus to Nagappattinam, Velankanni, Hosur, and Bangalore.
In total, 1265 special additional buses will be operational, including services from Bangalore, Thirupur, Erode, Coimbatore, and other cities.
Reservations for these special additional buses can be made online via the website www.tnstc.in or the TNSTC app.
Adequate officials have been deployed at the aforementioned bus terminals to ensure the smooth operation of these special additional buses.
It`s noteworthy that approximately 8000 citizens have booked travel for today (Wednesday, April 19th), and over 10000 citizens have booked travel for the weekend."
