New International French School to Open in Chennai This September
The Consulate General of France in Puducherry and Chennai is set to open a new international French school, Lycée Français International de Chennai (LFIC), in September. An information session was held to introduce the school, which aims to offer a unique, bilingual, affordable, and multicultural education in collaboration with an Indian educational partner.
This initiative is supported by the French community in Chennai, the French Institute in India, the cultural branch of the Embassy of France in India, and the Consulate General of France in Puducherry and Chennai. The session also involved the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), which oversees a global network of 580 schools in 139 countries, educating over 390,000 students.
