On the 22nd and 23rd, Nilgiris and Coimbatore districts are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rain in hilly areas, while Tirupur, Dindigul, Theni, Erode, Salem, and Dharmapuri districts may see heavy rainfall. Cyclonic winds up to 55 kmph are expected over the Gulf of Mannar and Southeast coastal areas from the 21st to the 23rd, cautioning fishermen against venturing into these waters.
Recent rainfall data indicates significant precipitation in various areas, with Devala recording the highest at 13 cm. Chennai and its suburbs can expect partly cloudy skies today, with chances of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in the evening or night.
