The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) will hold a grievance redressal meeting on Saturday in 15 zones from 10 am to 1 pm. This monthly meeting allows residents to raise issues related to sewage, drinking water, and new connections directly with authorities, expediting resolutions compared to social media or helpline complaints.
A senior CMWSSB official noted that common issues like drinking water pollution and connection problems are addressed swiftly through these meetings. U Lakshmipathy, a Chindatripet resident, shared that a recent sewage contamination issue caused by storm drain work was resolved within a day after being raised in the meeting, whereas helpline complaints had previously gone unanswered.
Residents are encouraged to attend and voice their concerns at their respective Metro Water area offices.
