In a major reshuffle within the Tamil Nadu administration, several high-ranking officials were transferred on Tuesday. Incumbent State Home Secretary P. Amudha, who has been under scrutiny following the Kallakurichi hooch tragedy and the murder of Tamil Nadu BSP chief K. Armstrong, has been reassigned as the Principal Secretary of the State Revenue Department. Additional Chief Secretary Dheeraj Kumar has been appointed as the new head of the State Home Department.

In another significant move, Commissioner of Greater Chennai Corporation J. Radhakrishnan has been replaced by J. Kumaragurubaran, who previously served as the Secretary of the State School Education Department. Radhakrishnan will now take on the role of Additional Chief Secretary to the Government in the Cooperation, Food, and Consumer Protection Department.

The reshuffle also includes changes in the leadership of the Tambaram and Salem Corporations, as well as the transfer of six District Collectors and several other IAS officers.
