Following protests by political party leaders, the Central Government has announced that NEET-PG 2024 aspirants from Tamil Nadu will now be allotted examination centers within their own districts.
DMK MPs and opposition leaders raised concerns about the difficulties faced by MBBS doctors in Tamil Nadu who had applied for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate), rescheduled for August 11. Initially, many candidates were assigned test centers in other states such as Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
In response, the Central Government has directed the reallocation of examination centers for Tamil Nadu`s medical PG aspirants to their home districts.
The NEET-PG entrance examination, originally set for June 23, was canceled by the Central Government as a "precautionary measure" following allegations of irregularities in competitive exams.
