An important piece of information for the residents belonging to the state of Tamil Nadu has come out now.
Mr. J. Radhakrishnan, Additional Chief Secretary of Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection dept has confirmed that from August new ration cards would be issued to all the beneficiaries across Tamil Nadu.
On Thursday, 8th August, Mr. Radhakrishnan was busy inspecting a civil supply warehouse in Coimbatore. He spoke about how there was enough availability of stocks of essential items like sugar, rice, dal or pulses for supply through PDS or Public Distribution System.
Point is that out of the total of 3.10lakh applications for new ration cards 2.80lakh applications have been processed. It is learnt that from the district of Coimbatore alone 15000 applications for new ration cards have been received. He added that new ration cards would be issued from this August month.
Important piece of information is that the cooperative warehouses have adequate stocks of 33.6lakh tonnes of paddy and one lakh tonnes of fertilizer. It is learnt that through cooperative credit societies several loans like farm loans, crop loans, SHG or self help group loans, education loans and loans for small traders etc have been issued to the people.
For this 2024, the chief minister of TN Mr. M.K. Stalin has given directions to distribute one lakh crore loans. Point is that till now Rs 24000 cr loans have been dispersed in the state of TN.
