These days, many of us suffer from an issue called constipation or infrequent bowel movements. Persons with this constipation issue would find it difficult to pass stools. When a person doesn`t pass stools every day, then his or her stools would become very hard. This would pose a huge problem for them later on and they would need medical intervention also
Rectal prolapse:
Part of rectum might protrude through anus and this is rectal prolapse. This could be due to strain from constipation issues. So, please be careful.
Digestive disorders:
The bitter truth is that chronic constipation would exacerbate certain conditions like IBS or irritable bowel syndrome etc. This could lead to more issues for the person.
How to prevent chronic constipation?
By intake of fibre rich foods:
It is necessary to eat fibre rich foods like fruits, vegetables plus whole grains and legumes etc. By this, stools would get softened and would help in the bowel movements. Passing stools would become much easier.
By staying hydrated:
It is well known that drinking water throughout the day is a must and it would help us to avoid many health issues. Not only that, our stool moisture would be maintained by regular exercises plus bowel movement would be facilitated.
By doing exercises:
Our intestinal function would get stimulated by regular physical activity or by doing exercises etc. This would help us to avoid constipation.
By setting a routine:
It is worthy to mention that we must set a regular time for bowel movements and respond promptly to the urge to pass stools. This would train our digestive system.
By limiting processed foods intake:
Processed foods are rich in fats and low in fibres. By limiting the intake of such foods, we would be able to avoid constipation issues.
By avoiding over use of laxatives:
When we use laxatives frequently, then it could lead to over dependency. This would worsen constipation over time.
