It has been revealed now that in the list of best educational institutions across India Chennai based IIT and Anna University have been included.
It is known that the Union ministry of education has been publishing the ranking list of best educational institutions at the national level based on the overall educational institutions plus based on 16 courses such as university, engineering, administration, law, medicine, pharmacy etc. Various factors like learning, teaching, infrastructural facilities, research and statues of the graduates etc are being taken into consideration.
On 12th August 2024, Union minister for education Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan grabbed the attention when he released the ranking list for the year 2024 in Delhi. He gave awards to the in-charge of the educational institutions.
It is worthy to note that IITM has been ranked first across India and it was followed by IISC or Indian institute of Science in Bangalore. IIT Mumbai was ranked third and it was followed by IIT Delhi at fourth.
It must be recalled that in 2018 IIT M was ranked second and for the last 6 years IITM has been ranked one. JNTU Delhi was ranked tenth in the list. In the engineering category, IIT M has been ranked one and in the research and innovations category IITM has been ranked two.
Point is that in the engineering category NIT Trichy has been ranked ninth. Anna University in Chennai has been ranked one in the state universities category.
In the Medicine category, AIIMS or All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi has been ranked one. Vellore based CMC or Christian Medical College has been ranked third. In the Dental category, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Education has been ranked third.
In the Law category, Bangalore based National College was ranked first. In the colleges category, Delhi based Hindu College was ranked one. The third rank went to famous St Stephens College.
In the management educational institutions category, IIM Bangalore was ranked one and IIT Roorkee was ranked one in the architecture category. In the research category, IISC was ranked first. In the innovation category, IIT Mumbai was ranked first.
In the agriculture category, Indian Agriculture Institute was ranked one and in the pharmacy category Delhi based Jamia College was ranked one.
