The third and final round of Tamil Nadu engineering counselling will commence on August 23, with approximately 93,000 students expected to participate. This phase is crucial as more students will secure engineering admissions.
A senior official from the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) stated that 92,999 students with cut-off marks between 141.9 and 77.5 are eligible for this round. Counselling begins on August 23 at 10 am, where students can fill their choices of courses and colleges until August 25.
Tentative seat allotments will be announced on August 26, followed by provisional seat allocation on August 28 after student confirmations. Students have the option to upgrade their choices from August 28 to September 1, with the final admission list for the third round to be released on September 4.
The DoTE official mentioned that after consolidating the data from all three rounds, the final list of students who secured admissions will be published. Additionally, a schedule for spot admissions will be released for students who did not get seats during the regular counselling process.
