The kites of various shapes and colours caught the attention of many at the 4 day International kite flying festival organised at Thiruvidanthai near Mamallapuram. Point is that the people were mesmerised by these superb colourful kites. Yesterday evening, the kite festival came to an end.
These days, it has become customary in many nations to organise a kite flying festival every year to entertain the visitors. It must be recalled that to entertain the visitors the TN Tourism department conducted a kite flying festival for the first time in the year 2022 in Mamallapuram near Chennai.
From 15th of August till 18th of August at Thiruvidanthai beach near Mamallapuram, the kite flying festival was held. The event witnessed more than 45 sportspersons from countries like Malaysia and Singapore etc.
The kites had the national flag, bear, tiger, octopus, snake, kathakali, superman, dragon, jallikattu bull and freedom fighter images etc. The visitors expressed their happiness about the kite flying festival by taking photos on their smartphones and posting the photos on social media. It must be noted that there was a traffic jam yesterday or the last day of this kite flying festival.
