On September 1, the Bengaluru Physiotherapist Network held a significant awareness meeting at Radisson Blu, marking a milestone for the physiotherapy community. Established in April 2010 by Dr. Thanajayan Jayavel, Dr. Kasiraj Rajagopal, and Dr. Partipan Ramasamy, the forum has been active for 14 years.

The event, attended by over 500 physiotherapists from Karnataka and beyond, focused on professional development and knowledge transfer. Karnataka Assembly Speaker U.T. Khader inaugurated the meeting, emphasizing the critical role of physiotherapy in enhancing quality of life and encouraging continuous learning.

A highlight of the day was the introduction of the Kather Spot (SPOT), an innovative tool that uses motion sensors and gamified exercises to enhance physiotherapy practices.

The agenda included two main sessions: one on musculoskeletal rehabilitation techniques, such as shoulder and knee rehab, and another on broader areas like neurorehabilitation and pediatric care. An afternoon panel discussed the integration of artificial intelligence into physiotherapy, showcasing how AI can transform practices and improve outcomes.

The event also featured interactive table-wise exchanges, where senior physicians shared insights and recent research. Dr. Shalini Rajneesh IAS, Principal Secretary of Karnataka, conveyed a message of collaboration and impact in physiotherapy.

The day concluded with a felicitation ceremony led by Dr. U.D. Kadar and Karnataka State Joint Health Council Chairman Iftikhar Fareed Ali, who highlighted the Council’s dedication to advancing physiotherapy. Awards were given for outstanding poster and paper presentations.

Overall, PBN Koliki 2024 was a success, offering valuable opportunities for learning and networking in the evolving field of physiotherapy.
