What happened at the 3 day shopping festival at Nandambakkam in Chennai?
At the spacious Nandambakkam Trade Centre or NTC in Chennai, a 3 day shopping festival organised by Dhinakaran - Kungumam Thozhi magazine came to a close yesterday. The shopping festival here witnessed many people who came with their families.
It must be noted that the grand shopping festival began on 6th of September 2024. Various items related to girls or women were present here. These included women`s cosmetics, health care products, bridal wear, fashion consumer products plus others like handicrafts, gold and diamond jewellery, home décor, furniture, nutritional products, organic products, medical sportswear, stationary, electronic devices etc.
It is known that the shopping festival at NTC was inaugurated by social welfare minister Geetha Jeevan and many important personalities made their presence felt on the inauguration day. From morning 10:30 am till 8pm in the evening, various shops were set up here. Point is that various shops have been set up for the purpose of giving importance to natural treatment.
There were natural herbal based drinks, herbal powders plus others like sukku coffee, sprouted grain containing naturally prepared nutritional flour etc at these shops. At the electronic shops here, many visitors rushed to buy cheap mobile phone chargers plus headsets, decorative lamps etc were present. Not only these, silk sarees were brought directly from Kancheepuram based weavers and they were sold here. There was overcrowding in those shops that sold diamond and gold jewellery, handicrafts and home décor products etc.
There were more than 100 stalls at the shopping festival and these grabbed the attention of many visitors. Many came in huge numbers with their families and friends as it was vinayagar chathurthi weekend. The shop owners sold the items to the public with huge enthusiasm. The 3 day shopping festival was highly successful.
