Mayor R Priya Launches Health Check-Up Drive for Sanitary Workers, Reports Drop in Dengue Cases!

Mayor R Priya inaugurated a master health check-up initiative for over 11,000 sanitary workers at Government Stanley Hospital. The check-ups, which include 14 tests such as thyroid, diabetes, and cervical cancer screening for women above 35, will take place over three months at five government hospitals. Medicines will be provided through the Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam scheme.
The Mayor also reported a drop in dengue cases, with only 12 reported this month compared to 87 in September last year. Additionally, 80% of stormwater drain work in the Kosasthalaiyar River area is complete, and multi-level parking projects are in progress.
