S P Balasubrahmanyam Honored as Nungambakkam Street Renamed on His Third Death Anniversary!

On the third death anniversary of legendary playback singer S P Balasubrahmanyam, Chief Minister M K Stalin announced that the street where his residence is located will be renamed in his honor.
According to a state government release, Kamdhar Nagar 1st Street in Nungambakkam will now be known as `S P Balasubrahmanyam Salai` in recognition of his immense contributions to cinema.
SPB, a recipient of the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards, has sung over 40,000 songs in multiple languages.
