Mayor R Priya Inspects Rainwater Drainage Operations at Perambur Subway!
Greater Chennai Corporation Mayor R Priya inspected the rainwater drainage operations at the Perambur High Road subway, which was closed for traffic on Wednesday night due to flooding from heavy rains.
Located in the Thiru Vi Ka Nagar zone, the subway had excess water drained by Corporation staff using motor pumps. The mayor was accompanied by zonal officials during the inspection.
GCC officials reported that, despite the heavy rainfall, excess water has been cleared from all subways, and normal traffic flow has been restored. Additionally, all subways and key areas are under continuous surveillance by the Integrated Command and Control Center at the Ripon Building Complex, and prompt action is being taken on public complaints regarding rain-related issues.
