Information gathered is that in the FY 2024, India handled 376 million passengers and there is a 15 % year-on-year rise in air traffic.
Now, people working in the aviation sector in India are now eagerly expecting a new airline. India`s newest airline, Shankh Air, could boost air travel in our country. It is superb to mention here that Shankh Air has now received permission from the Union Civil Aviation Ministry. For the next 3 years, NOC or no objection certificate issued to Shankh Air would be valid. This was as per media reports. Before the new airlines begin to fly it must get clearance certificate from DGCA or Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
It is now revealed that the aviation ministry has directed Shankh Air to comply with the regulations etc. In the regions in India with fewer air travel options, Shankh Airline would boost connectivity.
Important things to know regarding Shankh Air:
It is now brought out that Shankh Air would operate aircrafts from Noida and Lucknow hubs. By this, it would become the first scheduled airline in Uttar Pradesh or UP. Point to be noted is that three Boeing 737- 800 NG aircraft would connect major cities in India soon.
The Chairman of Shankh Air is Mr. Sharvan K, Viswakarma and Shankh Air is owned by Shankh Aviation Private Ltd.
Salient features of Shankh Air are comfortable seats, wider seat patches, in-flight entertainment systems, and global standard service deliveries etc. Shankh Air would provide an ultimate flying experience for the passengers. It is learnt that the domestic air travel penetration is just 10% now and the GOI is pushing for expansion.
